Three-summit tour with Hochkogel

The starting point of the tour for climbers with strong physical condition is the mountain station at Schattberg -X-Press Saalbach. The steep ascent to the Hochkogel requires good endurance. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are in demand when crossing the rock ridge on the Hochsaalbachkogel. The descent over the Medalkogel, the Hackelbergeralm and the Bergstadl is easy to master.

Mountain hike on the Asitzkopf

Your hike starts at the mountain station of the Kohlmaisbahn Saalbach. Advanced hikers are exactly right with this tour. First you walk along the Saalachtaler Höhenweg to the Wildenkarkogel. From there it continues via Schönleiten to the summit of the Asitzkopf. Then you descend to the Schönleitenhütte and reach the middle station of the Kohlmaisbahn via the forest path, with which you return to the valley.

Panoramic hikes with a view

Pinzgau walk

The long-distance hike requires more physical condition than you would expect during a “walk”. The Schattberg-X-Press Saalbach takes you to the Schattberg Ostgipfel mountain station. From there you walk over the Marxtenscharte, the Seetörl, the Klingelertörl, the Klammscharte and the Rohrertörl to the Schmittenhöhe. The Schmittenhöhebahn takes you back to the valley, to Zell am See. From there, take the Postbus back to Saalbach.

Small hike on the Floraweg

The starting point for the panoramic hike is the mountain station of the Schattberg-X-Press. You walk to the Limbergalm and over the goods road back to the east summit of the Schattberg, where the cable car takes you back to Saalbach. Alternatively, a descent on foot via Jausern is possible.
