Rudi writes … an “almost century-winter” comes to an end.
Magnificent piste and weather conditions made the hearts of all winter sports enthusiasts beat faster this year! The optimal low-winter conditions in our SkiCircus SHL gave us a good load and many satisfied guests. At this point a “heartfelt thank you” to our friends and “regular guests” for their loyalty – and to all our new guests, for the proven trust!
I dare say that in the Barbarahof we have the privilege of being able to host the best audience from the whole valley. Namely, people of level who carry the heart in the right spot. There is nothing better for a landlord than to go apart at the end of a holiday week, like an extended family!
Already some guests will have noticed a shift in the areas of responsibility in the Barbarahof. We are trying to make a smooth transition to the next generation of leadership within the family. Junior chef son Roland and his wife Katrin are a great help to me and master their work in the reception and booking area excellently. Many thanks to both of you!
I would also like to say a “thank you” to my Elfriede, the good soul of the house. Thank you for keeping my back. So I can do my weekly events in the hotel in a relaxed way.
Especially on Tuesday the sporty ski safari. Thank God we had no accident and all guests came back to the hotel healthy. Every safari is basically always the same and yet I am surprised that every safari is “the most beautiful of all time”. This can only be related to the “bearish guests” ☺ ..
The romantic torchlight hike always takes place on Wednesday and I am happy when groups (usually between about seven and twenty people) come in to accept my invitation to an evening walk. As we trudge through snowfields, spiritual thoughts often give rise to funny stories, and one lady even thanked us once for the “interesting” event. I was happy about it, but could not resist a slight smile ☺ ..
Every Thursday, the garage festival, which is popular with all guests, takes place. Sometimes I have to do a balancing act with my Elfriede when it is already dark outside – and in the kitchen the soup is cold. I then try to calm her down and offer her to swap roles … but which she then gratefully rejects (fortunately) ☺..
I am very happy to accept / we accept the many positive hotel reviews. We can only satisfy our guests if everyone in the team pulls a rope and I would like to thank our employees in the kitchen, service and on the floor for the harmonious working environment! An extra greeting goes to Sophie and Daniel (both from Saalbach and Hinterglemm), who always show good will and do their work with joy!
We all love our profession and our guests, true to my motto is our ambition: …”the satisfied and returning guest”!
Since we men are curious by nature, I could never wait and on March 12th, in glorious sunshine, I drove with my friend Sepp Geisler to Fieberbrunn to get to know the “best hidden ski area of the Alps”. Sepp and I didn’t get out of the swarm. Although knowing that there are always advocates for innovations and people who disagree. With crossing the national border, three more dashing and snow-sure northern slopes, light larch forests await us, through which the freeriders scurry and Tyrolean flair on the friendly alpine huts! The ski swing development with the “TirolS” will be an asset for both valleys and I am already looking forward to our “first joint ski safari” in December 2015 in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn!
With this in mind, I wish you a quiet and relaxed Holy Week, in which time should be for thoughts of peace and joy all over the world, as well as a beautiful Easter with all that goes with it.
Very dear greeting from us from Saalbach.
Looking forward to a happy reunion
