Coming from Eastern Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary:

Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1), exit Wals-Lofer, border crossing ..., continue via Bad Reichenhall to the border crossing Steinpaß, Lofer, direction to Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
or
Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1) from Salzburg, on the Tauern motorway (A 10) towards Villach, Bischofshofen, the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 direction Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.


Coming from Germany:

Motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8) to exit Siegsdorf. Keep the direction to Inzell until you reach a junction, which is described with Lofer. On Steinpass cross the border and continue to Lofer. From there it's off to Saalfelden and Zell am See. In Maishofen you will see signposts to Glemmtal. Than it is only 6 km to Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.

For this route you do need a motorway toll sticker!


Coming from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia (Villach):

Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10), Bischofshofen, Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 direction to Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
or
Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10) after Spittal next exit to Mallnitz – Böckstein, continue on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 direction Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.


Coming from Italy (Brenner):

Brenner Motorway (A 13) towards Innsbruck, exit Innsbruck east, continue on the Inn Valley motorway (A 12) direction Wörgl, exit Wörgl West, Continue on highway 312 to Saalfelden, Maishofen, Viehhofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.


Train:

The nearest train station is Zell am See. Train information you´ll get from the ÖBB. From Zell am See you can take the bus, which runs in a one-or two-hourly intervals to Viehhofen. Prior the Zell am See railway station is a taxi stand.


Plane:

The nearest international airport is Salzburg. All major airlines have Salzburg as a destination in their flight program. From Salzburg are also shuttle buses available to our region.
