Kaiserschmarrn (= cut-up and sugared pancake)
- 1/4 litre of milk, a pinch salt and 150 g flour - stir well until smooth, before you put 9 egg yolks into it.
- Now stir 9 egg whites until stiff and put them under the dough.
- Heat up a big pan, sweat on 40 g butter, put in the dough and let it get gold-brown on both sides. Again 40 g butter and cut the pancake into small pieces.
- Finally a big spoon of vanilla-sugar and arrange your Kaiserschmarrn on 3 plates.
- Sprinkle with bowdered sugar and serve your traditional austrian dish either with fruitsalad, apple puree or stewed plums.
